The Information Centre and Shop Tel: 02 6648 4188
Located at the garden entrance and open from 9am to 4pm every day. Volunteers can assist with your enquiries. The shop sells soft drinks, ice-creams and snacks as well as gifts, scarves and caps. We also stock wooden bowls, handmade cards and pewter wildflower jewellery made by local artisans.
A large range of plants are also available at reasonable prices, and all proceeds from sales go towards improvements in the gardens.
First Aid and an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) at the Information Centre and Shop
Garden Café
The café is currently closed, (though we are hoping for good news soon), and drinks, ice-creams and snacks can be purchased at the Information Centre and Shop which is open 9am-4pm every day.
Mobility Help
- Two electric buggies, with driver/guides are available for transport along the Main Path for visitors with limited mobility. This must be booked in advance and a small fee applies for this service with all proceeds supporting the garden. Book at the Information Centre and Shop (02) 6648 4188.
- Wheelchairs also available for free loan.

Getting to the Garden
- By car: turn off Harbour Drive at Hardacre Street (look for the ‘Botanic Garden’ sign) between the city and the jetty, west of the roundabout intersection at Hogbin Drive.
- Walk or cycle via the Coffs Creek path which passes by the garden entrance car park – a short walk from Coffs CBD.
Not Permitted in the Garden
- Cars, bicycles, skateboards, electric scooters are not permitted in the garden. There is a bike rack outside the entrance to the garden.
- Dogs (except assistance dogs) and domestic animals are not permitted in the garden. Dogs can be taken for a walk on a lead on the nearby Coffs Creek path outside of the garden.
Photography
Share your pictures and videos on our garden social media sites. Please take care not to damage any plants or disturb wildlife when taking photos.
Take Care on Your Visit
- Bring sunscreen and insect repellent, especially on warmer days. It is useful to also bring a hat and water-bottle. There are water refill points around the garden.
- Watch out for the wildlife, and especially for snakes which sometimes like to warm up on the paved surfaces
- Give the animals plenty of space and they will usually move away.
- Watch out for trip hazards like fallen branches and uneven ground.
- Avoid being under the tall forests during high winds – as branches and trees may fall.
